Record rules
What makes a performance eligible for a Winchester Running Club record.
Eligibility
To be eligible for a club record, the athlete, the event and the result must all meet the following criteria.
On the day of the achievement, the athlete must be:
- A fully paid member of Winchester Running Club.
- A first-claim competitive athlete with Winchester Running Club.
In the event, the athlete must — according to the event entry or finishers list — be representing one of:
- Winchester Running Club.
- Their educational establishment.
- A higher-claim organisation, i.e. service, county, region or nation.
The event must:
- Be held under the supervision or permit of a recognised athletics authority, such as England Athletics.
- Be officiated by qualified officials.
The result can be either chip- or gun-timed, and must be evidenced by one of:
- A link to Power of 10.
- A link to the organiser's finishers list.
- A copy of the event finishers list.
Claiming a record
Record claims are now submitted in the member app — sign in and submit your claim there, with the race, the date and your finishing time, so we can verify it against the criteria above.
